Change of personnel at eurammon

Dr Alexander Schmeink succeeds Dr Karin Jahn as a consultant. In future, Robert Hild will be heading the business operations at eurammon.

Frankfurt, 03 August 2021 - After more than 25 years of loyal service eurammon bid farewell to Dr Karin Jahn at the end of July. Karin Jahn, who holds a Doctorate in Physics, took over the management of eurammon e.V. in 1996. She was also consultant in the Refrigeration and Heat Pump Department of VDMA and a member of the advisory board of the world's leading trade fair for refrigeration technology since Chillventa was founded in 2008.

Mrs. Monika Witt, Managing Partner of Th. Witt Kältemaschinenfabrik GmbH, Member of the Board of Directors of eurammon, thanked Jahn for the many years of trustful cooperation: “With Dr Karin Jahn, we are losing a loyal and upright personality who responded always with great competence and enthusiasm in the interest of eurammon. We very much regret that Dr Karin Jahn is no longer available as managing director of eurammon and wish her all the best for her retirement. We hope to greet her in person at a next general meeting taking place in presence rather than virtually to thank her for her outstanding commitment over the past years. We wish her successor, Dr Alexander Schmeink, all the best and the same intuition for the tasks laying ahead.”

The new consultant of eurammon is Dr Alexander Schmeink. After graduating, the physicist, who received his Doctorate in the field of Interfacial Magnetism in 2020, worked as a tutor at the Georg August University in Göttingen and at the Technical University in Dresden. In addition, the now 31-year-old worked as a research assistant at the Fraunhofer Institute for Electron Beam and Plasma Technology between 2016 and 2017.

The management of the eurammon e.V. will be taken over by Robert Hild, who is also Managing Director of the VDMA's Air Handling Technology Association.
