eurammon is calling for papers for the Natural Refrigeration Award 2017, which is addressed to outstanding theses and research contributions in the field of natural refrigeration. eurammon is a joint initiative of companies, institutions and individuals who advocate an increased use of natural refrigerants. With the sponsorship of the Natural Refrigeration Award eurammon seeks to facilitate the projects of ambitious young scientists and wishes to motivate them for further research in the field of refrigeration, air conditioning or heat pump applications with natural refrigerants. In this year, the award is assigned together with the German university Technische Universität Braunschweig and the Czech trade journal Chlazení.
eurammon invites all graduates and young scientists of universities, polytechnics, colleges and similar educational institutions to participate, whose scientific paper has been accredited as a doctoral, master’s or bachelor’s thesis, or final paper for a similar degree. The thesis paper has to engage with refrigeration, air conditioning or heat pump applications using natural refrigerants – ammonia, carbon dioxide, hydrocarbons, air or water – and has to be graded between July 2015 and March 2017.
Three prizes will be awarded with a prize money amount of €5,000. In addition, the three award winners will have the opportunity to present their theses or dissertations to the international expert audience of the eurammon Symposium 2017. The award ceremony will take place at the eurammon Symposium on 22nd June, 2017 in Schaffhausen, Switzerland. The prize winners will be selected by an international jury with experts from science, business and the media. The jury’s decision is final.
